Prof Ganesh Bahadur Gurung

 

Prof. Ganesh Bahadur Gurung was born on 3rd of Jan 1941, Parbat, Thana Maula to late Sher Bahadur Gurung and late Purna Kumari Gurung. He holds a BL and MA Degrees from Tribhuwan University. He is decorated with Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu and Rastriya Shiksha Puraskar.

A renowned scholar, Prof Gurung served as a campus Chief inMahendra Campus from 2033 to 2037 B.S  (1976- 1980 A.D)  and Prithivi Narayan Campus from 2037-2047 B.S  (1980 -1990 A.D) , and also as an assistant Dean in Tribhuwan University (1976-1990). He was a member of Raj Parishad standing Committee ( closest advisors to the King) 1990-2006, delegate member of United Nations (1985) and senator of Pokhara University.

Prof. Gurung is highly committed, energetic and enthusiastic individual who is a founder and member in the following institutions and organizations/ associations:

Prof. Gurung is married to Mrs. Meena Gurung and has four daughters and a son.
