Our trip to Khalte was both challenging and rewarding, beyond anything we could have imagined. We were received with great hospitality and generosity from our hosts with the Char Bhanjyang Foundation, the Char Bhanjyang Center for Health, and the people of Khalte. We felt overwhelming gratitude from our patients and we hope to have helped make a difference in their lives. One thing is for certain; we learned so much from them and their outlook on life. The people of Khalte and surrounding villages are hardworking, kind, and loving people living with the health problems common to all such people. The technology of the Swinfen Telemedicine and m-Health apps allowed

us to discuss patient care with physicians from all over the world, providing access to world-class expertise that would not be otherwise available. Our visit has begun an open conversation between us, the patients and clinic staff, and all of the wonderful people involved with Char Bhanjyang and the Swinfen Charitable Trust. We hope that this conversation will bring ever-increasing healthcare and public health development and knowledge to the area, leading to improved physical and mental well-being for the people of Khalte and surrounding villages. We are so lucky to have had the opportunity to live among the beautiful people of Khalte and experience their lives. We hope that we’ve made as

lasting an impression on them as they have on us. Our memories are priceless and will be

forever cherished. We very much look forward to the day when we can work together again.

Namaste
