ABOUT US


 

Char Bhanjyang Tamu Samaj UK (Charity Reg no. 1151044) is a non­political, not­for profit independent charitable organisation. The literal meaning of Char Bhanjyang is four passes between hills (or take the form of saddle between two mountains) and Tamu Samaj conveys a Gurung community. The four passes Bhangara, Dadra, Laame and Thanamaula, are located in the South of the Parbat district in West Nepal.

CHAR BHANJYANG AREA DEVELOPMENT PROJECT





EDUCATION PROJECT


 

We, CBTS UK understand the need for Education and have helped alot of students. We have successfully build 10+2 Secondary school in remote area of Nepal. Janajyoti Higher Secondary School (10+2) was officially opened by Lt Col I Foxley and the Chief District Officer on 22 October 2008. Within a very short span of it’s establishment it is recognised as one of the best schools in the district. With the advancement of technology, computer science has proved a very popular subject, attracting large number of students from the surrounding areas.

 


 
 







HEALTH PROJECT


 

Char Bhanjyang Center for Health (Swinfen House) was initiated by Hon Lt Chandra Bahadur Gurung through the good relationship with his British friends. The Rt. Hon Roger and Lady Pat Swinfen MBE the Director and Co-director of Swinfen Charitable Trust UK (SCTUK) have kindly donated money for full construction of the medical clinic. Furthermore the Trust (SCTUK) assurances have been received for further financial and medical assistance towards this project for which each and every members of CBTS offer their humble appreciation towards SCTUK.

The Lady Pat Swinfen MBE kindly inaugurated the Medical Clinic Project on 14 November 2011 with a special ceremony. Char Bhanjyang Center for Health and Swinfen House was formally opened by the Lord Roger Swinfen, Lady Pat Swinfen and Hon Charles Eddy with a special ceremony at Khalte, Parpat Nepal on 3rd April 2013. Since then it has served more than 4000 patients which included, newborn baby to 106 year old patients.

 


 
 


 
 







ACADEMIC AWARD


 

The Char Bhanjyang Academic award was presented by Hon Lt Chandra Bahadur Gurung in Nov 2011. This award was introduced to encourage the children of Char Bhanjyang Tamu Samaj UK to do well on the education field. For more details and rules
